About the Project
CHICODE is a menswear store organized around a central blue volume that changes the circulation and divides the space without closing it.
The project brings together different clothing worlds — streetwear, wedding suits, and sport-elegant pieces — within one open interior. Rough walls, an exposed ceiling, a continuous gray floor, stainless steel elements, and translucent blue surfaces create a minimal but intense atmosphere. The blue is not used only as a brand color, but as an architectural element that gives the store orientation, depth, and identity.
Blue Volume
A large blue volume cuts diagonally through the elongated interior, organizing the store without dividing it into separate rooms. Conceived somewhere between architecture, furniture and display, it incorporates rails, shelving and storage before extending overhead to create a more intimate environment for the formal collection. Translucent blue acrylic shifts between transparency and reflection, allowing the volume to separate different programs while maintaining visual continuity across the store.
Textures and Materials
The material palette is built around contrasts between rough and precise, matte and reflective, existing and newly fabricated. The exposed concrete ceiling and textured plaster walls form a raw background for blue acrylic, stainless steel and a continuous grey floor. Along the perimeter, dark pebbles replace conventional skirting, creating a softer boundary between wall and floor while becoming a surface for displaying footwear.
Suspended Stainless-Steel Structures and Lighting
Suspended stainless-steel elements introduce a lighter layer of display within the heavier architectural framework. Their thin profiles support garments and objects while preserving openness and long views through the store. Custom lighting elements, designed and fabricated by YET Architecture, extend the project from spatial design into product scale, allowing light, structure and display to operate as parts of the same architectural system.
