About the Project
The opportunity to bind particles by welding the sand surface was explored by trying to replicate the emergence process of fulgurites, particularly immediate and instant glass formations created by natural phenomena of lightning striking the desert surface.
Aeolian Series
The search for the material contingency initiated with the steel arc welding on top of the sand surface. It displayed inconsistent pattern with bits of glazing result which gave the potential for further investigation.
